Terms and Conditions for Retreats

Payments:

To secure your spot on our HAVEFUNSURFTOGETHER RETREAT, a non-refundable deposit is required. The deposit amount will vary depending on the retreat’s location and duration, and we’ll provide the exact amount along with our bank details in the email we send. By paying this deposit, you are agreeing to our terms. Please note, this deposit is non-refundable.

The remaining balance for all of our HAVEFUNSURFTOGETHER RETREATS is due 30 days before the retreat’s start date. This final payment is also non-refundable.

If you cancel your booking after it’s confirmed but more than 30 days before the retreat, the all the payments already made will be non-refundable and non-transferable.

If the final payment is not made by the due date, HAVEFUNSURFTOGETHER Retreats reserves the right to cancel your booking, and any payments made will be forfeited.

Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card. Bank transfers typically don’t incur any additional fees unless your bank charges one. You’re responsible for covering any fees associated with the payment method.
Credit card/PayPal payments are subject to a 5% payment fee, and all fees are the responsibility of the guest.

If You Cancel:

Please be aware that we do not offer refunds for flight cancellations, travel delays, or illness. If you cancel your participation more than 30 days before the retreat begins, we are unable to refund your payment. However, if we’re able to fill your spot, you can transfer 50% of the payment to another retreat, subject to availability. We understand unforeseen situations (like illness or family emergencies) can arise, but please note that we incur costs for booking venues, accommodations, and staffing, which is why we can't offer refunds. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to safeguard yourself further.

If We Cancel:

In the rare event that HAVEFUNSURFTOGETHER cancels a retreat due to insufficient participants, we will refund all payments, including your deposit. However, we cannot cover any additional travel costs such as airfare. If a retreat must be cancelled due to weather, natural disasters, or political instability, refunds will depend on whether we receive them from our venue. Again, we highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance to protect yourself in these cases.

Force Majeure:

Force majeure refers to extraordinary events or circumstances beyond our control, which could not have been avoided even with all due care. This includes, but is not limited to, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, technical issues with transportation or the venue, airport closures, pandemics, natural disasters, or adverse weather. In the event of force majeure, we cannot offer refunds or compensation.

Travel Insurance:

We strongly recommend purchasing cancellation/interruption insurance to protect yourself in case of unforeseen circumstances, such as:

  • Cancelling your retreat participation

  • The retreat being cancelled due to weather, natural disasters, or insufficient participants

  • Lost baggage or personal items

  • Medical expenses or the cost of repatriation if you become ill or injured

By agreeing to these terms and making a payment for HAVEFUNSURFTOGETHER, you enter into a binding contract with HAVEFUNSURFTOGETHER on behalf of yourself and any other members of your booking.

Legal:

CONSENT AND RELEASE

By registering for this programme, you understand and accept the following terms:

I acknowledge that participating in the retreat requires a certain level of fitness and general health. I take full responsibility for assessing my fitness level and understanding the risks associated with activities such as yoga and surfing. I will always maintain control over my actions and understand that I accept the risk of injury or discomfort during these activities. If I have any medical conditions or limitations that may affect my performance, I will inform the instructors. Any transport taken is at my own risk.

I, or anyone who might act on my behalf, waive and release the organizers from all liabilities related to injuries, damages, or death resulting from my participation in the activities outlined in the retreat schedule or any activities outside of the retreat or resort, and hold them harmless from any claims or related costs.

I understand that the organizers have the right to accept or decline any participant at any time. They may also make changes to the itinerary if necessary for the safety and comfort of all participants. If the event is cancelled or postponed, the organizers are only responsible for refunding the money paid by the participant if the event cannot be rescheduled.

The organizers are not liable for any costs related to delays, changes in schedule (including missed flights or issues with visas or health requirements), cancellations, or other issues such as loss or damage to property or personal injury.

I agree that photos and videos may be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes. I grant the organizers permission to use my likeness, image, voice, or appearance in any related materials without compensation. I waive any right to inspect or approve these materials before they are published.

By making a payment towards HAVEFUNSURFTOGETHER, you accept these Terms and Conditions as a binding contract between yourself and HAVEFUNSURFTOGETHER.
